DALLAS, Texas - (Sept. 7, 2006) – Veteran AM/FM radio products expert
Steve Schott returns to Continental Electronics as the company’s South Central
regional sales manager. Schott brings to Continental Electronics four decades of
experience in both the technical and the sales side of radio products.
Schott replaces Bret Brewer, who now owns and operates several Oklahoma radio
stations . Based in North Texas, Schott’s territory includes Arkansas, Colorado,
Louisiana, New Mexico, Oklahoma and Texas.
“Through all of Steve’s years in field service and sales, he has been dedicated
to quality customer service,” said Mike Troje, Continental Electronics’ sales
manager. “His philosophy is exactly the same one we hold here at Continental.
It’s all about treating our customers with the attention and respect they
deserve. Because Steve has been on both sides of the industry, he knows exactly
what that means.”
Steve began his broadcast career at a small station in Colorado. He has since
served as chief engineer or director of engineering for stations in Colorado,
Detroit, Chicago and Dallas. Switching gears in 1978, Steve became a field
service engineer for Collins Radio and later became the Collins district sales
manager for their South Central region. When Continental Electronics acquired
Collins Radio, Steve became Continental’s regional sales manager, representing
Continental from 1980 to 1994. Schott has also worked at Harris Corp., and most
recently at Broadcast Electronics.
