815A PART UPDATES FOR SOLID STATE TRANSMITTERS
  1. Under some conditions, the screen bleeder resistor can be operated at or more than its rated power dissipation. The resistor can open and cause erratic tuning operation of the transmitter. The screen bleeder resistor, A5-R2, should be replaced with a 10k ohm, 55W resistor.

  2. Under some conditions, grid resistor A5A1-R14 (10ohms 1/2W) can open causing a loss of RF drive. It should be replaced with a 10-ohm resistor of 1W or larger.

  3. Fan and blower motor fuses (F2&F3) are listed as 2ASB. The startup current of these motors can exceed 2 amps and cause the fuses to open. They should be replace with 5ASB.
