Continental Electronics Corporation

Service After Sale Practices

Continental Electronics Corporation’s Broadcast Transmitters are arguably the most reliable in industry.  Many have been operating in countries all over the world for decades.  The following is a statement of our Service After Sale practices that have helped Continental retain its position as the leader in Broadcast Transmitters.

Continental Electronics has established a world class Customer Service organization.  If a customer has a question regarding Transmitter operation, whether the Transmitter is under warranty or not, he or she can call the Continental Electronics “hot lines” for support 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, including weekends and holidays.

Hot lines are available for Parts Services and for Engineering Support, and are staffed by fully qualified technical specialists.  In most cases, our technical specialists can assist the customer in troubleshooting a problem immediately over the phone.

If a problem is identified with a component installed in a Transmitter that is under warranty, Continental Electronics will ship out a new replacement component free of charge as soon as possible.  Our goal is to ship within 24 hours of receiving the call.  If a Transmitter is out of warranty, the same response time is maintained, but in that event the customer is charged for the part.

Under the highly unusual circumstance in which a problem is caused by a design deficiency identified by Continental Electronics, then Continental will dispatch a Field Engineer to the site to remedy the problem at Continental’s expense.  Outside of that rare circumstance, Continental will be pleased to dispatch a Field Engineer to the site upon request by a customer, provided all expenses and engineering time are paid by the customer.

Continental has identified multiple sources for the majority of purchased components.

Spare parts or equivalent items are guaranteed to be available for a period of at least 10 years following the sale, and usually are available for a much longer period, as Continental’s Transmitters have historically been operated dependably in the field for well over 10 years.

Continental Electronics will provide the customer with a price list for all Transmitter parts.  In addition, Continental Electronics can guarantee that the prices for those parts in the next 10 years will never increase annually by more than the U.S. Consumer Price Index (typically around 2 percent).
